Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based talking therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physical sensations are connected. Sometimes we can get stuck in unhelpful patterns that keep problems going. CBT helps you recognise these patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and develop healthier ways of coping so you can feel better and make lasting changes in your everyday life.

About me
Hannah Elliott
BA (Hons), BSW, PgDip
I am a qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with 8 years' experience working in specialist mental health services in the Health and Social Care Trust. I have experience of working across both adult mental health services and child and adolescent mental health services. I currently work as a Team Lead, combining clinical practice with leadership to support high-quality mental health care.
My degree in Early Childhood Studies also gives me a strong understanding of child development, relationships, learning and the social and emotional factors that influence wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, OCD, panic, low self-esteem and trauma- related difficulties. My experience has given me a deep understanding that no two people are the same, which is why I take a compassionate, collaborative and individualised approach to therapy.
I believe therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you feel listened to, understood and supported without judgement. Together, we'll work to understand the challenges you're facing, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical, evidence-based strategies to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Whether you are taking your first step into therapy or returning after previous support, my aim is to help you feel more confident, resilient and equipped to manage life's challenges.
